Organizational History
Success Unlimited incorporated as a private, non-profit, 501©3 agency in 1991 in response to a need for community based employment opportunities for adults with disabilities.
The mission of Success Unlimited is to maximize the income and independence of people with disabilities through employment in their community. Success Unlimited’s focus is the provision of quality training and support services to secure long term employment opportunities. Job placement efforts are focused on the importance of longevity to establish solid work records and to provide a sense of continuity to each place of employment.
Employment specialists provide job seeking skills, job development, on-the-job skill training, work related training and long-term support, when needed, to maintain employment within community businesses. Success Unlimited serves people with all types of disabilities including developmental, psychiatric, head injury, physical and learning disabilities. Success Unlimited has provided support services to over 600 individuals since 1991 and currently provides ongoing support for 80 people with disabilities.
In 1993, Success Unlimited added the provision of residential support to the menu of available support services. Independent living skills training is provided for people with developmental disabilities who require minimal support to maintain their own apartments.
In 2006, Success Unlimited became licensed to provide employment support services for Minnesota residents.
In 2016, Success Unlimited began providing ISLA (Individualized Supported Living Arrangements) services for people with developmental disabilities who require a higher level of support to maintain their own apartments.
Success Unlimited works closely with NE Human Service Center, ND Vocational Rehabilitation, Polk County Social Services, MN Vocational Rehabilitation Services, residential support agencies working with mutual clientele & families to ensure the delivery of appropriate services. Quality services are the benchmark striven for, with an emphasis on well-trained, dedicated personnel who are responsive to the needs of people with disabilities as well as employer’s needs. Services are individualized to achieve person centered quality outcomes & self-sufficiency.
Success Unlimited has been is accredited by The Council on Quality & Leadership since 1996.
